  2. Hi Pat,

I've been waiting for this post to see how your fireplace turned out. It is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. What a transformation! I can't believe the pink wallpaper. You have really done a lot of work. I couldn't agree with you more about renovating an old house. We had an old house once and there was always something that needed to be done..."A regular money pit". LOL

I have all the items necessary to start my project on painting my chairs and table base. I'm waiting for a cooler weekend here so that I can open up my windows to ventilate properly.

  3. I like the outcome as it still has an aged look to it. How lucky to have such a deep mantel for display!

  5. Hello. I'm wondering what AS colors you used for this? I'm working with a friend on an old farmhouse where some of the stonework has been painted in what is at best oil paint, at worst lead - so she has no option but to repaint. Your fireplace looks wonderful and quite what she would like her stone to turn out like. Any other tips or suggestions?

    Thanks so much!
