Calico curtains stencilled using a stencil from The Stencil Library, made loads of curtains at very little cost for my daughter.

The calico came from Whaleys Bradford Ltd

  1. I saw the other things you made with stencils, very nice, and I went over to the Stencil Library website and went through their catalogue. If ever we find a house, I would love to order some stencils and get to work myself! ;-)

  3. I measured the length required and added a quarter of the total length for the pelmet. I turned the pelmet to the right side and marked the line where the fold came.I then hemmed the sides as far as the fold mark made a small cut at the fold mark so that I could hem the pelmet the other way. I then hemmed the bottom of the pelmet stitched on the curtain tape and did the final hem at the bottom once I had checked the length. I'm not sure that makes sense but I can do you a tutorial (I think) if you like.
